PR-AS5 PR-AS6 Performance Indicator Emerging Developing Proficient Distinguished Student can select & analyze artistic work. Student can demonstrate an understanding of the repertoire selection process. Student can select repertoire based on personal interest and knowledge. Student can select repertoire based on analysis, the context of the performance, and the skills of the performer(s). (MU:Pr4.1.E.HSI) Student can analyze and explain the criteria used to select a varied repertoire to study based on an understanding of theoretical and structural characteristics of the music, the technical skill of the individual or ensemble, and the purpose or context of the performance.
Student can utilize artistic techniques for presentation based on prior knowledge. Student demonstrates an understanding of the mechanics of basic musical techniques. Student can utilize basic musical techniques outside the context of performance. Student can apply musical technique to prepared and improvised performances across a diverse selection of music.
